The journal Middle West Review seeks applications for the position of Editor-in-Chief for a two-year term extending from June 15, 2025-June 15, 2027. Applications should be transmitted to MWR Executive Board chair Dedra Birzer by March 25, 2025. A complete application should include a 1) letter of intent; and 2) a complete CV. The letter of intent should explain the following: 1) applicant’s experience editing academic journals; 2) applicant’s experience publishing academic books and articles; 3) applicant’s experience and strategy for fundraising for the journal; 4) applicant’s vision for the journal; 5) applicant’s experience with and vision for the field of Midwestern history and Midwestern studies more generally; 6) applicant’s experience with collaboration in academic publishing; and 7) applicant’s ability to host a journal at an academic institution and provide housing and graduate student assistance for the journal.
